Meet Boris! 53 lbs of handsome,hounds,lovey dovey goodness.
Boris is a 1 yr old lab/ hound mix who is currently 53 lbs and still working on that before and after transformation and filling out.
Boris showed up in a nice lady’s yard skin and bones looking for help and carrying his one possession…a heart of pure gold. She took him in and fed him, found a rescue willing to get him all adoption ready and vetted. He’s repaid her by being a dream foster dog.
First thing….he is 100% potty trained. Never once had an accident inside. He goes rt to the door like a proper gentleman. He is also completely kennel trained. Just say “ Time for bed and he marches straight to his kennel. No dramatic farewells. Try getting that from a one yr old human child. Boris is smart and eager to please.
Boris has learned sit, stay, outside,time for bed, and eat. If you’re wondering which is his favorite… EAT obviously.
Boris is great with other dogs, even small ones, loves to play fetch snd will even bring his ball back and leave by the door when it’s done for next time. Again… try getting a toddler to do that. 😂
He loves his squeaky toys, car rides, pup cups, belly rubs, ear scratches…..basically all the stuff. Boris loves love. One teeny disclaimer. He is not a fan of cats…or fancy squirrels as he sees them. Oh , and when you tell him no..he may have some thoughts. 😂 He will attempt to plea his case and present his legal argument.
Boris is one of those dogs that makes you wonder how he ever was abandoned. Never again though. He is loving,smart and incredibly loyal and will be one of those once in a lifetime heart dogs.
Boris is just waiting for his forever family and they’ll be the lucky ones. ADOPT....DON'T SHOP!!!
Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX)
Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS
To adopt we require… all pets are indoor animals, current on vaccinations and spayed/neutered unless medical reason why and dogs on heartworm prevention.
ADOPTION FEES
Adults are $200 and under a year is $250 in Texas.
Out of state adoptions are $400 – $500.
(Specialty breeds could have higher adoption fees)
Something to Consider:
Puppies don't train themselves
If you aren’t willing to train a puppy every single day, don’t get a puppy! It isn’t a one-shot deal. You have to be dedicated. And if you aren’t making progress – find someone who can help. Enroll in a puppy training class or hire a trainer. Most cities across the nation have some sort of availability for this kind of help and at different cost levels that would fit your budget.
Puppies are going to poop a lot and pee even more; chew on everything; bite everyone; scratch people and furniture; steal things; destroy something at some point; pull on the leash; not move at all on the leash; bark; cry; beg for attention; and the list goes on. You’re going to have to walk them, bathe them, pick up everything below waist height, buy new shoes, and most importantly: TRAIN THE PUPPY NOT TO DO THESE THINGS! Ultimately, it is your responsibility to teach your puppy that this behavior is unacceptable.
