Sometimes two dogs come into rescue together, and it becomes clear that they were meant to stay together. Allie and Gracie are that pair. These two sweet girls were abandoned together at a Texas trailer park along with two young puppies. They had each other when the people who should have cared for them walked away—and now they are looking for a forever home where they can continue life together.
Allie is the sunshine of the duo! This approximately 3–4-year-old Blue Heeler is smart, energetic, affectionate, and absolutely convinced that every day is going to be the best day ever. She loves people, loves being included, and is always ready to see what adventure comes next. Walks, hikes, backyard fun, road trips, or simply hanging out with her people—Allie wants to be part of it all! And if you sit down, don't be surprised if Allie decides it's time for hugs, kisses, belly rubs, or her favorite Heeler-style affection. She has a huge heart and gives her love generously.
Then there's Gracie, the calmer half of this wonderful team. At approximately 3–4 years old, Gracie is a gentle, mild-mannered girl who loves being close to her people. She's affectionate, eager to please, and happiest simply sharing your day. A walk, relaxing on the couch, or a quiet evening together sounds pretty perfect to Gracie. Together, they balance each other beautifully. Allie brings the fun and enthusiasm, while Gracie brings the calm and sweetness. They share a special bond that began when they were left behind together, and we believe they deserve to have their happy ending together, too. Both girls have already been through the hardest part of their story. They are now healthy, fully vetted, safe, and ready for the chapter they've been waiting for—a home, a soft place to sleep, people to love, and a family that will never leave them behind. These girls don't need separate homes. They need one forever home where they can continue to have each other's backs. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS
To adopt we require… all pets are indoor animals, current on vaccinations and spayed/neutered unless medical reason why and dogs on heartworm prevention.
ADOPTION FEES
Adults are $200 and under a year is $250 in Texas.
Out of state adoptions are $400 – $500.
(Specialty breeds could have higher adoption fees)
Something to Consider:
Puppies don't train themselves
If you aren’t willing to train a puppy every single day, don’t get a puppy! It isn’t a one-shot deal. You have to be dedicated. And if you aren’t making progress – find someone who can help. Enroll in a puppy training class or hire a trainer. Most cities across the nation have some sort of availability for this kind of help and at different cost levels that would fit your budget.
Puppies are going to poop a lot and pee even more; chew on everything; bite everyone; scratch people and furniture; steal things; destroy something at some point; pull on the leash; not move at all on the leash; bark; cry; beg for attention; and the list goes on. You’re going to have to walk them, bathe them, pick up everything below waist height, buy new shoes, and most importantly: TRAIN THE PUPPY NOT TO DO THESE THINGS! Ultimately, it is your responsibility to teach your puppy that this behavior is unacceptable.
