Meet Zoey, a sweet energetic pup, whose curious, playful and friendly personality shines through. She absolutely loves her toys, the water hose, and a good game of tug-of-war or fetch. Though fetch may be a stretch since she doesn't always bring the toy back. Her foster moms have worked hard to help her adjust to her new life, making sure she's crate trained,up to date on all her shots and spayed.

Zoey is very smart and very treat motivated. She is learning her puppy manners, such as sit, down, walk-on-lead without pulling and go into crate when treats are her reward, but still has some work to do.

Zoey's very exuberant personality and curiosity for life around her makes her the perfect
companion for an active household. She thrives on outdoor adventures and enjoys spending
time with her humans, always wanting to be right by their side. Though her enthusiastic
personality for playtime can sometimes be overwhelming for smaller and/or elderly dogs, her
heart is full of love and fun. Zoey is ready to find her forever home where she can continue to
blossom into the wonderful dog she's meant to be, with plenty of outdoor play and affection.

Zoey is good with dogs but has high energy which can be hard for small dogs and very old dogs.

Something to Consider:

  • Puppies don't train themselves

If you aren’t willing to train a puppy every single day, don’t get a puppy! It isn’t a one-shot deal. You have to be dedicated. And if you aren’t making progress – find someone who can help. Enroll in a puppy training class or hire a trainer. Most cities across the nation have some sort of availability for this kind of help and at different cost levels that would fit your budget.

Puppies are going to poop a lot and pee even more; chew on everything; bite everyone; scratch people and furniture; steal things; destroy something at some point; pull on the leash; not move at all on the leash; bark; cry; beg for attention; and the list goes on. You’re going to have to walk them, bathe them, pick up everything below waist height, buy new shoes, and most importantly: TRAIN THE PUPPY NOT TO DO THESE THINGS! Ultimately, it is your responsibility to teach your puppy that this behavior is unacceptable.

  • Puppies turn into dogs...
