Taylor’s Legacy Lives On: Join the Taylor’s Wish Campaign

God’s Dogs Rescue will be donating $25 from each adoption fee to the Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas during the month of September in an effort to support children and their families as they navigate life and healing after such unimaginable loss. God’s Dogs Rescue plans to create ongoing partnerships to elevate mental health awareness with local organizations to keep Taylor’s memory alive.

Taylor’s Wish.

In recognition of National Suicide Prevention Month, God’s Dogs Rescue has launched Taylor’s Wish in honor of Taylor Shaffer, a devout pet rescue advocate, and beloved nephew of Debbie Davis, God’s Dogs Rescue Director of Operations. Taylor tragically passed away in 2023 due to the negative effects of alcohol on his mental health.

God’s Dogs Rescue is continuing Taylor’s legacy to help find homes for animals at the shelter, which is currently exceeding intake capacity, and highlight local resources for those struggling with mental health and loss of loved ones.

Taylor’s untimely passing sent a shock throughout the organization, shedding light on the importance of mental health awareness, and galvanized a campaign to ensure Taylor’s wish came true.

Open your home. Open your heart.
