Hey everyone! My name is Addie Alice and I am ready for my forever home to find me!

They say that angels walk among us and I know this first-hand because one day, I was suddenly swooped up off the street by some people who did not have my best interest at heart! I was very scared and tried my best to get away, but they held onto my scruff real tight. I was starting to panic when an angel appeared and inquired as to what was going on with this tiny kitten in distress! The mean people were trying to sell me! They didn't own me, and in fact, I don't think anyone owned me because I was fending for myself on the streets! Fortunately for me, the angel paid my ransom and off I went to another angel in what they called a &quot;foster home&quot;. I call it heaven! I have other kittens to play with and even though I did have to get something called &quot;vetting&quot;, I also got toys, great food, and even sleep in the bed with my foster Mom! I learned how to be an inside kitten and well, let me tell ya - it beats the streets by a mile!

I'd love to be YOUR baby now and want you to know all about me!

If you aren’t willing to train a puppy every single day, don’t get a puppy! It isn’t a one-shot deal. You have to be dedicated. And if you aren’t making progress – find someone who can help. Enroll in a puppy training class or hire a trainer. Most cities across the nation have some sort of availability for this kind of help and at different cost levels that would fit your budget.

Puppies are going to poop a lot and pee even more; chew on everything; bite everyone; scratch people and furniture; steal things; destroy something at some point; pull on the leash; not move at all on the leash; bark; cry; beg for attention; and the list goes on. You’re going to have to walk them, bathe them, pick up everything below waist height, buy new shoes, and most importantly: TRAIN THE PUPPY NOT TO DO THESE THINGS! Ultimately, it is your responsibility to teach your puppy that this behavior is unacceptable.

Puppies don't train themselves

This is going to happen every time and incredibly fast. Please, the next time you have the thought, “I want a puppy!” replace the word “PUPPY” with “DOG.”

If your excitement goes down, even the slightest amount, don’t get a puppy.
&nbsp;
The average lifespan for a dog is 12 years. The wondrous smell of puppy breath only last a few months. This means you have waaay more time owning a dog than a puppy. We frequently have puppies returned to us for a variety of reasons. Often this results in an extremely adoptable 8 week old puppy being returned a few months later as an 8 month old train-wreck.
