Marty

"Do not interrupt me while I'm daydreaming! When the zebra's (puppy’s) in the zone, leave him alone." This could be Marty the puppy’s thinking when he is snoozing away, dreaming of puppy things!

Marty is an adorable goofball like his name’s sake from the movie Madagascar, and while he is not striped like the original Marty, he does have some adorable white spots on his body, including one on his booty!

Marty was born to an old mama pit-bull mix who died shortly after giving birth. Her last selfless act was to bear 4 babies who then were bottle fed from that point on, so they believe people are their family.

Marty, from his appearances with bright blue eyes, his curled over- the- back tail, and his penchant to talk and talk back frequently, has got to have a strong husky influence in his genetics. He loves to play with his sister Gloria, and to listen to them “chat” back and forth is hilarious!

Marty was born on August 28th, 2025 and will be getting his neuter surgery on Nov 2nd. He is a strong stocky boy who currently weighs 11.5 pounds at just under 8 weeks of age. He will most likely be a large boy but I am not sure how tall he will become.

Marty is a lively guy who is looking for someone who will love him and give him the best home forever! And it doesn’t have to be in Madagascar!

Something to Consider:

  • Puppies don't train themselves

If you aren’t willing to train a puppy every single day, don’t get a puppy! It isn’t a one-shot deal. You have to be dedicated. And if you aren’t making progress – find someone who can help. Enroll in a puppy training class or hire a trainer. Most cities across the nation have some sort of availability for this kind of help and at different cost levels that would fit your budget.

Puppies are going to poop a lot and pee even more; chew on everything; bite everyone; scratch people and furniture; steal things; destroy something at some point; pull on the leash; not move at all on the leash; bark; cry; beg for attention; and the list goes on. You’re going to have to walk them, bathe them, pick up everything below waist height, buy new shoes, and most importantly: TRAIN THE PUPPY NOT TO DO THESE THINGS! Ultimately, it is your responsibility to teach your puppy that this behavior is unacceptable.

  • Puppies turn into dogs...
