Meet Max Lee!🐾

Max is a one-year-old terrier mix weighing about 9 pounds, and he’s as sweet as they come! This little guy has never met a stranger — he’s friendly with everyone he meets and just wants to be your best friend. Max loves attention, cuddles, and playtime in equal measure.

He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would be thrilled to have a playful fur sibling to romp around with. Max is also great with children and would make a wonderful addition to any family.

Mealtime is his favorite part of the day (he’ll make sure you know when it’s dinner time!), and he’s mostly potty trained. He does well using pads if one is left out — though fair warning, he also thinks they make great toys if they’re not stuck down!

Speaking of toys, Max is a little dog with a big love for play. His new family should be “toy rich,” because he can really put them to the test! When it’s time to wind down, Max sleeps beautifully in his kennel without making a peep — as long as he knows his people are close by.

If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate, and playful pup who will fill your home with love and laughter, Max is your guy. 💛

Something to Consider:

  • Puppies don't train themselves

If you aren’t willing to train a puppy every single day, don’t get a puppy! It isn’t a one-shot deal. You have to be dedicated. And if you aren’t making progress – find someone who can help. Enroll in a puppy training class or hire a trainer. Most cities across the nation have some sort of availability for this kind of help and at different cost levels that would fit your budget.

Puppies are going to poop a lot and pee even more; chew on everything; bite everyone; scratch people and furniture; steal things; destroy something at some point; pull on the leash; not move at all on the leash; bark; cry; beg for attention; and the list goes on. You’re going to have to walk them, bathe them, pick up everything below waist height, buy new shoes, and most importantly: TRAIN THE PUPPY NOT TO DO THESE THINGS! Ultimately, it is your responsibility to teach your puppy that this behavior is unacceptable.
