Nothing to fear, Nakoa is here! Nakoa is Samoan, it translates to “fighter/warrior”. You’re probably wondering why I have that name, let me tell you my story. I was shot in my face, it went through my nasal area straight through my jaw yes you read that right. Then I was picked up by a local shelter and left untreated for almost a month. My previous owner knew and didn’t want me back. I was available for quite sometime but I was overlooked and put on the euthanasia list. Within less than 24 hours of my deadline, my foster parents swooped in and saved my life! Through it all I was still a happy boy with everyone that came to see me, I took treats, sat there like a good boy and wagged my tail!
Anyways enough with the sappy stuff, I’m here to introduce myself for who I really am!! I’m just the bestest boy with a slightly crooked face that kind of makes it look like I smile! I’m your typical dog that LOVES to play with stuffed toys, I love treats and playing with other dogs! I do good with a house that has cats! I’m a klutz but that’s my sense of humor! I CRAVE attention, like really I’m not joking, I will literally never leave your side. I am house trained and leash trained as well as kennel trained, I know sit and paw for basic commands. Fun fact about me: my ears never sit one way, they tend to have a kind of their own! I think I’m your dream guy, colored eyes, blonde tinted hair, strong build and sense of humor! Let’s make this a forever type of thing and adopt me today!!!

Something to Consider:
Puppies don't train themselves
If you aren’t willing to train a puppy every single day, don’t get a puppy! It isn’t a one-shot deal. You have to be dedicated. And if you aren’t making progress – find someone who can help. Enroll in a puppy training class or hire a trainer. Most cities across the nation have some sort of availability for this kind of help and at different cost levels that would fit your budget.
Puppies are going to poop a lot and pee even more; chew on everything; bite everyone; scratch people and furniture; steal things; destroy something at some point; pull on the leash; not move at all on the leash; bark; cry; beg for attention; and the list goes on. You’re going to have to walk them, bathe them, pick up everything below waist height, buy new shoes, and most importantly: TRAIN THE PUPPY NOT TO DO THESE THINGS! Ultimately, it is your responsibility to teach your puppy that this behavior is unacceptable.
