Rita Hayworth is my given name... and I have EARNED that name ;)
She was a beautiful actress from the 50's, classy, sleek and sexy... me TOO 😊
I was the lead character in the movie, Shawshank Redemption too ;) I may have only been on a poster but what I represented to the inmates in the prison?? Freedom, another outside life full of love and glamour.... of course, most of the prisoners would never be free!! Except ANDY, he was truly INNOCENT and got to live in the outside world by outsmarting the warden who framed him.
So for me, my life was kind of like a prison for the first 1 yr and 8 months of my life too...I was living on the streets with no real hope of a real life with love and food and no more puppies!!
UNTIL the lady who had saved a couple of my litters of puppies FINALLY caught me!! I admit it, I was a little scared- I didn't believe in people anymore, because while i was suffering on the streets they would either drive around me or ignore me or throw things at me to scare me away from them...
BUT, I was about to enter the land of milk and honey with my RESCUERS!!! They saved my puppies too and all have been adopted out. Now it is MY TURN!
I have become so much more trusting and relaxed in the rescue, never a harsh word or anything but love and food and support and FUN!!
I am ready for a loving and patient family, it will take me some time to adjust to a new environment.. so you must work a little to gain my complete trust.
i hope you are ready and committed, cause I AM!!!

Something to Consider:
Puppies don't train themselves
If you aren’t willing to train a puppy every single day, don’t get a puppy! It isn’t a one-shot deal. You have to be dedicated. And if you aren’t making progress – find someone who can help. Enroll in a puppy training class or hire a trainer. Most cities across the nation have some sort of availability for this kind of help and at different cost levels that would fit your budget.
Puppies are going to poop a lot and pee even more; chew on everything; bite everyone; scratch people and furniture; steal things; destroy something at some point; pull on the leash; not move at all on the leash; bark; cry; beg for attention; and the list goes on. You’re going to have to walk them, bathe them, pick up everything below waist height, buy new shoes, and most importantly: TRAIN THE PUPPY NOT TO DO THESE THINGS! Ultimately, it is your responsibility to teach your puppy that this behavior is unacceptable.
Puppies turn into dogs...
