Wylie

Excuse me... are those your toes? Because they look like they need a good chasing.

My name is Wylie, and I am a young Chihuahua-Heeler mix with a big personality packed into a small package. While I may be tiny now—and will likely stay on the smaller side when I'm grown up—I have enough energy and enthusiasm to keep life interesting.

One of my favorite hobbies is chasing my puppy friends around the yard. Another is sneaking up on unsuspecting feet and giving toes a playful little nip. Don't worry, I'm not trying to be mean—I just think toes are fascinating and maybe, just maybe, they need herding. After all, my Heeler side takes its job very seriously!

When I'm not busy supervising feet or racing around with my pals, I'm busy learning how to be the best companion I can be. Like all puppies, I'll need patience, guidance, and plenty of positive reinforcement as I grow. In return, I'll give you endless entertainment, unconditional love, and more smiles than you can count.

If you're looking for a fun-loving little sidekick with a mischievous streak, a playful spirit, and a heart full of affection, I might be exactly the puppy you've been searching for.

Come meet me soon. Just be prepared—I may fall in love with your toes before I fall in love with you.

Something to Consider:

  • Puppies don't train themselves

If you aren’t willing to train a puppy every single day, don’t get a puppy! It isn’t a one-shot deal. You have to be dedicated. And if you aren’t making progress – find someone who can help. Enroll in a puppy training class or hire a trainer. Most cities across the nation have some sort of availability for this kind of help and at different cost levels that would fit your budget.

Puppies are going to poop a lot and pee even more; chew on everything; bite everyone; scratch people and furniture; steal things; destroy something at some point; pull on the leash; not move at all on the leash; bark; cry; beg for attention; and the list goes on. You’re going to have to walk them, bathe them, pick up everything below waist height, buy new shoes, and most importantly: TRAIN THE PUPPY NOT TO DO THESE THINGS! Ultimately, it is your responsibility to teach your puppy that this behavior is unacceptable.

  • Puppies turn into dogs...
