Young Adult

Meet Dolly, aka Fleur de Lis!

My story didn’t start out very pretty. I was found wandering the streets with a bad case of mange, but thankfully, a wonderful savior reached out to the rescue, and I got my second chance! My foster family gave me special baths, medicine, and lots of love, and now I’m feeling fabulous and ready for my forever home!

A few things you should know about me: I LOVE other dogs and enjoy cuddling up with my furry friends. I’m great with kids (my youngest human friends are 4), and I’m such a good sport that I even let them play dress-up with me! I’m a playful girl who wants to be your shadow, your snuggle buddy, and your very own lap dog. I’m still working on a few puppy manners, like keeping all four paws on the floor and learning which toys belong to me, but I promise I’m worth the effort!

I’m a beautiful Pittie mix with one gorgeous blue eye. Maybe I have a little Aussie or Husky in my family tree… or perhaps a bit of both! Who knows? Whatever my mix, I’m 100% adorable and full of love.

My hard days are behind me, and now I’m ready for the best chapter yet. Could that be with YOU? **Adopt me, and let’s make our own happily-ever-after!**

Local adoption fee is $300(in TX)
Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Penelope is a gentle soul with a shy side, but don’t let that fool you—once she trusts you, she’ll be your shadow and your most loyal companion. She may take a little time to warm up, but with patience and love, you’ll watch her blossom into a sweet, affectionate girl who loves to stay close by your side.

She does best with a confident canine buddy who can show her the ropes and help her feel secure in new situations. Once she’s comfortable, Penelope’s playful personality starts to shine—she loves splashing around in the water, exploring the yard, and then curling up for cozy snuggles during movie nights.

Penelope would thrive in a calmer home where she can relax and feel safe. If things get too busy or loud, she’ll quietly retreat to her favorite peaceful spot to recharge. With her gentle nature and soft heart, she’s the perfect mix of heartwarming loyalty and quiet charm—just waiting for the right person to bring her fully out of her shell.

Are you ready to earn her trust and win her heart?
Penelope is waiting for you.

Hi there! I'm Duchess GC, a petite black and tan tricolor Chihuahua with ears that look like airplane wings — I'm already spayed and ready for my forever home!

At just 3 months old, I'm a bundle of energy, curiosity, and affection, and I'm smart enough to learn quickly with continued training.

I do wonderfully with children, other dogs, and cats, so I'll fit right into most loving families — though I might be a little shy at first before my adventurous, playful side really shines.

Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

When you adopt a cat or kitten that saves two lives!! ADOPT…. DON’T SHOP!!! THEIR LIVES DEPEND ON IT!!

Cats/kittens in shelters across the US have outnumbered dogs for the first time in 20 years.

If you aren’t willing to train a puppy every single day, don’t get a puppy! It isn’t a one-shot deal. You have to be dedicated. And if you aren’t making progress – find someone who can help. Enroll in a puppy training class or hire a trainer. Most cities across the nation have some sort of availability for this kind of help and at different cost levels that would fit your budget.

Puppies are going to poop a lot and pee even more; chew on everything; bite everyone; scratch people and furniture; steal things; destroy something at some point; pull on the leash; not move at all on the leash; bark; cry; beg for attention; and the list goes on. You’re going to have to walk them, bathe them, pick up everything below waist height, buy new shoes, and most importantly: TRAIN THE PUPPY NOT TO DO THESE THINGS! Ultimately, it is your responsibility to teach your puppy that this behavior is unacceptable.

Puppies don't train themselves

This is going to happen every time and incredibly fast. Please, the next time you have the thought, “I want a puppy!” replace the word “PUPPY” with “DOG.”

If your excitement goes down, even the slightest amount, don’t get a puppy.

The average lifespan for a dog is 12 years. The wondrous smell of puppy breath only last a few months. This means you have waaay more time owning a dog than a puppy. We frequently have puppies returned to us for a variety of reasons. Often this results in an extremely adoptable 8 week old puppy being returned a few months later as an 8 month old train-wreck.

And… if you just ‘honest to God’ love puppies and wish they never turned into dogs, we have a great option for you – you can foster puppies! You get to help a life in need, get all the fun that comes along with puppies, and never have to have a dog! WIN, WIN!!! Please visit our fostering page for more information.
