Adult Dog

I'm Whimzee, a spirited 4-year-old Pointer mix with a white and black coat and a heart full of adventure! 🐕 I'm crate trained and love the company of other dogs, making me a great fit for active households. I thrive on movement and outdoor fun — I need a family ready to keep up with my energy and give me plenty of exercise. I do best with older children who can match my playful, affectionate nature. If you're looking for an adventurous companion who's friendly and ready for action, let's meet! 🏃‍♀️💕

Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX)
Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Hi, I'm Walker! 🐾 At just 1 year young, I'm a striking black-and-white boy with Doberman Pinscher and Black Labrador Retriever in my family tree, and I weigh 58 lbs of pure personality. I came from the pound with an old broken hip. Which is funny cause I am not that old :( But I got it fixed (ok well the RESCUE peeps fixed my hip....) But I am doing so well after surgery that the vet is even impressed!!

I'm crate trained, affectionate, and loyal, and I get along well with dogs and with older children, so I'd do best in a home with kids who are old enough to keep up with me. 💛

I'm smart, playful, and a little mischievous, with a silly streak that keeps everyone laughing, but I have high energy and need an active lifestyle, so I'm not a good candidate for apartment living. 🏃
If you have room for an adventure buddy who will happily chase fun with you every day, come meet me! 🐶

Noah! I am the ONE and ONLY!
I will build a boat, load it up two by two and populate the earth with all KINDS of puppies!!
So yes, I am a little biased towards the domesticated pups :) But every single one of the animals He created deserves love and saving!
So enough about me..... are you ready for me??
I want a nice family, my rescuers do not know why I was found in the 100 degree weather wandering in a neighborhood, unneutered and skinny...... and withdrawn...
NOW, I am a regular lover boy! I have the love of so many rescue peeps, and they PROMISED me I would find my furever love too! So hurry up!

If you aren’t willing to train a puppy every single day, don’t get a puppy! It isn’t a one-shot deal. You have to be dedicated. And if you aren’t making progress – find someone who can help. Enroll in a puppy training class or hire a trainer. Most cities across the nation have some sort of availability for this kind of help and at different cost levels that would fit your budget.

Puppies are going to poop a lot and pee even more; chew on everything; bite everyone; scratch people and furniture; steal things; destroy something at some point; pull on the leash; not move at all on the leash; bark; cry; beg for attention; and the list goes on. You’re going to have to walk them, bathe them, pick up everything below waist height, buy new shoes, and most importantly: TRAIN THE PUPPY NOT TO DO THESE THINGS! Ultimately, it is your responsibility to teach your puppy that this behavior is unacceptable.

Puppies don't train themselves

This is going to happen every time and incredibly fast. Please, the next time you have the thought, “I want a puppy!” replace the word “PUPPY” with “DOG.”

If your excitement goes down, even the slightest amount, don’t get a puppy.

The average lifespan for a dog is 12 years. The wondrous smell of puppy breath only last a few months. This means you have waaay more time owning a dog than a puppy. We frequently have puppies returned to us for a variety of reasons. Often this results in an extremely adoptable 8 week old puppy being returned a few months later as an 8 month old train-wreck.

And… if you just ‘honest to God’ love puppies and wish they never turned into dogs, we have a great option for you – you can foster puppies! You get to help a life in need, get all the fun that comes along with puppies, and never have to have a dog! WIN, WIN!!! Please visit our fostering page for more information.
